Nutrition is the science that interprets the interaction of nutrients and

absorption, assimilation, biosynthesis, catabolism and excretion.
The diet of an organism is what it eats, which is largely determined by
the availability, processing and palatability of foods. A healthy diet

Nutrition should help balance the internal body chemistry (homeostasis),
so your body can adapt to its constantly changing external environment. I
advocate whole food and whole food supplements for my patients. My exam
involves the patient history, observation, a systems survey questionnaire,
and food intake diary for one week. I then progress to reflex and/or pulse
tests. Traditional lab work may be utilized. For those with more intricate
problems, there is now genetic nutritional testing.
